The Day Everest Shook

1 x 60 for Sky, National Geographic and PBS Nova

Featured documentary created for PBS, National Geographic and Sky focusing on the human loss and scientific causes behind the Nepal earthquake in 2015. The production involved being dropped into an active earthquake region and disaster zone, capturing a further 7.8 Earthquake followed by the subsequent devastation this caused. Operating across the most remote areas of the country, documenting the critical state of the region was challenging, given the scale of the natural disaster, but hugely rewarding to show viewers the charities and individuals who needed help the most whilst we also followed the scientific teams who captured live data from the field.

Working with the largest chartist, government and aid organisations we chartered some of the Nepal’s worst affected regions by land and air, collecting detailed scientific data that would help us understand the movement of the Himalayan plate and possibly gain further insights into the area’s geology.
